Saudi Scouts

Delegates of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association (SABCA) visited the State of Texas in U.S as part of the activities of the International Visitor Program for Scouts Leaders.

The Saudi delegation visited the headquarters of the Boy Scouts of America where they were welcomed by the Jamboree members and attended a presentation of the prominent programs available to American youth and scouts. They also visited the Scouts Museum and Exhibition and the Scouts Shop where scouts equipments were exhibited. Foreign Relations and Programs Director of the Boy Scouts of America presented souvenirs to the delegates to express his gratitude. He extended an official invitation to the SABCA to attend the American Jamboree Celebration in 2010.

Members of the American Boy Scouts expressed their appreciation and admiration of the activities and programs of SABCA following a detailed presentation given by Head of the SABCA delegation, Dr. Abdullah bin Sulayman Al-Fahd. The presentation denoted the peace efforts exerted by the SABCA when participating in last year's international jamboree, in addition to hosting the scouts' peace camp held in Jubail in which more than 58 countries participated. They also reviewed the programs of the International Scouts Exhibition for Peace held in Riyadh last month which was sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah, His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, and His Royal Highness, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz. Finally, they referred to the international peace award given in the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. This award, which was of benefit to thousands of youth worldwide, is supervised by the International Scouts Association in collaboration with SABCA.
