The center aims to develop educational policies that enhance the overall quality of the educational system and higher education. It employs the best scientific methodologies and seeks to support decision-makers at the Ministry of Education level.
The center employs rigorous research methods grounded in educational realities to achieve its objectives. It identifies and compares suitable development alternatives and options. Additionally, it forecasts the future of education in line with leading global trends, presenting findings in various research formats, including studies, reports, benchmarking comparisons, policy papers, and summaries.
The center sponsors various supportive activities, including hosting conferences, seminars, workshops, and organized discussion panels. It also translates scientific materials, publishes research products, and fosters cooperation with partners and researchers both locally and internationally.

The Center's Tasks

  • Monitor global trends in education policies by leveraging successful international experiences and conducting relevant benchmarking.
  • Coordinate with the Ministry's Agency for Research and Innovation to secure and provide the necessary support for the Ministry's and its sectors' needs for relevant research studies
  • Support the Ministry's agencies, departments, and sectors in analyzing their current education policies and in implementing the required studies for their development.
  • Contribute to the development and training of leaders and researchers focused on evidence-based research and studies related to education policies.
  • Establish partnerships at both local and international levels for education policy research, collaborating with research centers, experts, specialists, and universities. This collaboration aims to enhance the center's development and effectively achieve and implement its goals and projects.
  • Conduct research, studies, and diagnostic analyses of the current state of education and its policies, including various issues and challenges, while proposing viable solutions.
  • Conduct specialized strategic research and studies to forecast the future of education in the kingdom.
  • Conduct analyses and studies that are both standard and descriptive about education data and statistics.
  • Provide analysis and feedback on the reports, studies, and plans submitted to the center.
  • Coordinate with the Ministry's Agency for Research and Innovation regarding education policy research for the Ministry and its sectors.
  • Publish guides to support researchers in developing evidence-based education research, studies, and policy papers in education.
  • Translate and publish periodicals, research papers, abstracts, reports, studies, benchmarking, and papers in the field of education policies.
  • Disseminate the center's scientific research and educational policy knowledge products using available electronic resources.
  • Conduct engaging seminars and workshops focused on evidence-based education policies.
  • Provide consultations that the Ministry deems appropriate for the education sectors, as well as various governmental, civil, and community institutions.​
  • Represent the Ministry at local and international forums, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings focused on education policies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the center's activities, achievements, and work development methods.
  • Create a platform to share research information on education policies within the Ministry of Education.
