
His Excellency the Vice Minister of Education for Universities, Research and Innovation, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Sudairi, has received in the Ministry's headquarters today, Sunday, the British Prime Minister's Special Representative for Education, Professor Sir Steve Smith and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, areas of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and Britain in educational and special education programs have been discussed. In addition to partnerships between universities and research centers in the two friendly countries, educational and professional development programs for teachers, and the mutual recognition of certificates and degrees.
The meeting was attended from the British side by David Charlton, Head of International Partnerships for the Arabian Gulf Region in the UK Ministry of Education, and Simon Burke, Lead for the Middle East and Africa DIT Education at Department for International Trade (DIT), and from the Saudi side by Deputy Ministry for Research and Innovation Dr. Nasser Al-Oqaili, and The Deputy Ministry for University Education Dr. Mohammed Al-Odhaib, The Deputy Ministry for Scholarships Dr. Lina Al-Toaimi, the Deputy Ministry for Private University Education Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Othman, and Assistant Deputy Ministry for International Cooperation Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Omari.
