The Ministry of Education concluded today, Thursday, its participation in the scientific enrichment program focusing on field technology in Taiwan. Ten Saudi students from various education departments who are gifted and passionate about technology at the secondary level participated in the program, which was created in collaboration between the Saudi Ministry of Education and the National Taiwan University (NTU).
The Enrichment Scientific Program offers, for a period of one week, a series of training workshops for students on programming in C++ using certain educational devices designed using Arduino, in addition to designing specific projects to find environmentally friendly and specific solutions for communication and education processes in a professional environment. The program includes meetings with a variety of CEOs of various firms who graduated from the same university and have made advanced technological achievements to present their accomplishments to students and respond to their inquiries.
The administrators of the program lauded the advanced level reached by the talented Saudi students through their interaction and participation in the workshops offered. This was attained as a result of the importance the Kingdom places on education in general and the high-quality programs provided to the gifted category that keep pace with the demands of the labor market and reflect the creative Saudi mentality in a variety of fields.
It is noteworthy that the specialized enrichment program is a part of a different set of educational services and programs that the Ministry of Education offers to its gifted students in a variety of educational fields, including international scientific programs. The Ministry strongly believes it is important to involve these students in dynamic and interactive learning processes and to motivate them to participate in unique global scientific experiences that enhance their abilities.
