The Minister of Education meets the Secretary-General of "Mawhiba" and the winning students of the "ISEF" awards, and stresses the importance of integration to enhance the Kingdom's competition globally

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, met today, Wednesday, with His Excellency the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami, and the winning students of the Regeneron  International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2021.
Dr. Al-Sheikh praised, during the meeting, the complementary relationship between the Ministry of Education and "Mawhiba" in preparing a generation that competes globally, represents the country in international competitions and events, and realized achievements that reflect the Kingdom’s position and its competitive indicators. His Excellency stressed, "Each of the sons and daughters of the Kingdom is a partner in the country’s development, and contributes to the development of the country", pointing out that the results achieved by students in the international competitions are evidence of the development of the educational system, and investment in talents and developing them.
The Minister of Education said, "The Ministry has many development programs and enrichment initiatives to nurture the talented in schools with the aim of providing an educational environment stimulating creativity and innovation, preparing and training talented students , and qualifying them for the future. Moreover, meeting the needs of the labor market, the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the skills of the 21st century.  His Excellency thanked the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) for its programs and continuous sponsorship of the talented.
The Minister of Education directed to honor the talented and creative students who achieved international awards in the years 2019-2020, and celebrate them before the beginning of the next academic year, stressing the importance of holding exhibitions that support talent and the talented at the school level, the Education Offices and the Education Directorates.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami noted the depth of the partnership and the level of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and "Mawhiba" in discovering, nurturing and developing talented students, motivating and supporting them to participate in international competitions. He indicated, "That work is continuing for the next academic year to attain more achievements, and organize enrichment programs, exhibitions and competitions.
The Kingdom’s male and female students have recently obtained a national and international achievement by winning 5 major prizes and 3 special prizes, during their participation in the Regeneron International Sciences and Engineering ISEF 2021, which was held in the United States virtually, in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba”. The exhibition was held with the participation of more than 1,800 students from more than 70 countries, and the Kingdom competed for its major prizes with 30 scientific projects for 30 students from various Education Directorates.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Acting Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fehaid, the Undersecretary for Educational Programs, Dr. Maha Al-Sulaiman, and the Deputy Secretary-General for Talented  Services at " Mawhiba" Dr. Basil Al-Sadhan, and a number of officials in the Ministry of Education and Mawhib
