The Minister of Education participated in the Ministerial Joint Session for the ministers of labour, employment, and education from the G20 countries

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, participated on Tuesday, in the joint ministerial session of the Ministers of Education, Employment and Labor of the G20 countries in Catania, Italy, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi.
In his speech during the ministerial session, the Minister of Education stressed the importance of the joint meeting of the G20 ministers in education, employment and labor to discuss the fields of education, employment, and their common economic interdependence.
His Excellency said, "We must use well-established methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the opportunities and challenges created by the pandemic. In addition to proposing solutions to facilitate the transition from education to the labor market, and between jobs in working life, and ensure integration and social progress, as international data and research show that investment in Education and training enhance economic and social outcomes at the individual and national levels".
Minister Al-Sheikh added, "The quality of life, occupational satisfaction, work-life balance, and more broadly (the economic and social development of the state) are closely related to the results gained from quality education and purposeful employment, explaining that these results will grow with the increase of the scientific attainment and the increase of technical training that are essential.  .
His Excellency clarified , " The Kingdom affirms the inclusion in its solid vision 2030 of all enabling factors, tools, and necessary techniques to facilitate equal opportunities in accessing education and training, achieving higher educational qualifications, as well as entering a comprehensive and high-quality labor market.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Minister of Education indicated that the Kingdom would continue to invest in education and training to prepare young men and women for future jobs, and to direct and grant scholarship programs to the best international universities, and in areas that serve national priorities. He pointed out that there is a focus on innovation in advanced technologies and entrepreneurship, as well as developing a new global perspective to ensure a meaningful and sustainable future for citizens.
The ministers of education , employment and labor in the G20 countries agreed on a joint ministerial declaration during their joint session, which emphasized in its main points the support of factors that would help facilitate the transition from education to work, as well as promoting the concept of lifelong learning.
The G20 Joint Education, Employment and Labor ministerial declaration reviewed the most prominent methods and ways to address the issue of transition from education to work, as well as enhancing attention to youth, women and vulnerable groups in the education sector and work fields.  Moreover, emphasizing the importance of linking education outcomes with the requirements of the labor market.
