Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, the Ministry of Education organized the Pre-Departure Orientation Forum for Scholars for the academic year 2026–2027. Held over two days both at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh and virtually, the forum saw active participation from scholarship nominees and educational leaders.

In his virtual address to the forum, the Minister of Education stated: "The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program stands as a testament to our wise leadership’s unwavering commitment to investing in people. It enhances human capital efficiency and fulfills labor market demands in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030."

His Excellency explained that the forum reflects the Ministry of Education's dedication to preparing scholarship students both academically and personally before they depart to their study destinations, enabling them to embark on their educational journeys with confidence and competence. He highlighted that the ministry, through its various sectors and cultural missions abroad, will continuously provide the necessary support and services to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.

Minister Al-Benyan called upon the nominated students to make the absolute most of this scholarship opportunity, strive for academic excellence, adhere to regulations, and preserve their national identity and core values, representing their homeland in the best possible manner.

The forum aims to elevate the readiness of scholarship candidates through a comprehensive orientation program. Over its two-day duration, the event features a series of lectures and guidance sessions led by experts from the ministry and relevant authorities. These sessions cover the entire scholarship journey, academic and support services, the readiness platform, services for people with disabilities and dependents, and psychological adaptation during studying abroad. Additionally, sessions focus on the pillars of conscious citizenship, intellectual security, public image, and national identity building.

The organization of this forum falls under the Ministry of Education’s ongoing efforts to empower scholarship students to capitalize on these global opportunities. By equipping them with the vital knowledge, skills, and guidelines, the program enhances their ability to adapt to new educational and cultural environments, preparing them to achieve outstanding academic and professional excellence while exemplifying the Kingdom honorably on the global stage.
