The finals of the National Science and Mathematics "NSMO" Olympiad, organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" in partnership with the Ministry of Education, concluded today in Riyadh. The event took place from May 16 to 19.

The first edition of the Olympiad brought together 864 talented students from general education schools, from grades seven to ten. Participants competed in various disciplines, including science, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, and informatics. The competition followed an integrated journey, beginning with training and testing, progressing through school, governorate, and education department competitions, and reaching the national finals. The winners will be selected to represent the kingdom's teams in the International Science Olympiads.

The leading annual national competition is an extension of national efforts to prepare national cadres capable of competing globally in scientific fields. This initiative reflects the educational system's commitment to discovering and nurturing talented individuals. It aims to empower them, enhance their scientific and research skills, and prepare them for competition at both regional and international levels. As a result, this effort contributes to strengthening the Kingdom's presence in global scientific forums and fosters the development of an innovative and competitive national generation. This aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on developing human capabilities.

 NSMO represents the integration of the Ministry of Education and "Mawhiba." It reflects a commitment to creating an educational environment that fosters scientific creativity, enhances advanced thinking skills, and cultivates a spirit of positive competition among students, teachers, and schools. This contributes to the development of national generations equipped with the tools and capabilities needed for the future.
