The Ministry of Education will launch the National English Language Olympiad (ELO), which will be hosted by the General Department of Education in Taif Governorate from March 14–16, 2023. It will be implemented with the participation of distinguished students from education departments in the Kingdom's regions and governorates and the best language skill coaches.
The Olympics aim to nominate the best-winning students in the age groups (6–10 years), and (11–17 years), to participate in the International English Language Olympiad (ELO 2023), which will be held under the theme "Social Media" in Amman, Jordan, from April 12–14, 2023.
The Ministry of Education seeks to train students to participate and compete in local and international competitions to improve their English language skills and modern scientific research methods in a competitive atmosphere dominated by teamwork and the pleasure of learning.
The National English Language Olympiad, which is being held in Taif, will feature the participation of primary, intermediate, and secondary school students from age groups ranging from 6 to 17 years, as well as the presence of 25 English language skill coaches. Five of them will be nominated to take part in this International Olympiad, and there will be 6 arbitrators to train them on the techniques and methods of international competition management.
