The Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fehaid, chaired today, Wednesday, the first meeting of the Committee of Community Participations in Education, based on the Kingdom's vision 2030 in enabling community participation, and its contribution to strengthening the sustainability of the national economy.
During the meeting, different themes were discussed such as the frameworks of Community participation, its mechanisms, determinants, templates, strategy, stakeholders, best local and international practices for application, and a recommendation to prepare a technical report for these frameworks. In addition to discussing the assessment of current state of community participation in education sector, the proposal for rules and regulations for honoring the initiators, and the priorities and initiatives of that participation.
The Ministry of Education seeks, through the formation of the committee, to enhance the social participation of all concerned parties in the education system, and all individuals involved in the work and projects of the ministry, its development initiatives and community partnerships to develop the educational sector in the kingdom and improve its services.
The activation committee of community participation, formed by a decision of His Excellency the Minister of Education, undertakes to approve the rules, mechanisms and the templates of community participation , and the controls for honoring the initiators of the community partnership. In addition to approving the formulas of the agreements and operation plans, and approving the mechanisms for the needs of the local community, as well as stimulating and launching community initiatives in coordination with the relevant authorities in the Ministry.
