An official delegation from the Ministry of Education headed by the deputy-minister for General Education Dr. Ohoud Al-fares visited the Republic of Singapore, to discuss the opportunities to strengthen and cooperative partnerships and exchange experiences in field of education with the Singaporean side. The delegation received the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the Republic of Singapore, Mr. Abdullah Al-Mady at the headquarters of the Saudi Embassy. The met with the Singaporean Minister of Education Mr. Chan Chun Seng as part of the delegation's official visit program. The visit aimed to review the Singaporean education system at various educational levels, discuss joint cooperation opportunities in general and university education, childhood, and special education . As well as review successful experiences in developing and training teachers, in addition to meeting the Singaporean side's desire to expand partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Education. During its field visits to more than 14 educational institutions in the field of early childhood general and university education, training and talent care, the delegation was briefed on the institutional operational models in the educational sector in Singapore. Where the visit included a close acquaintance with children's education programs to benefit from their experiences in achieving the goal of raising childhood enrollment rates to 90% by 2030. As well as programs and initiatives to educate and nurture the gifted in sports, arts and sciences, in addition to visiting the National Institute of Education which specializes in training and developing teachers. Nanyang Technological University ranked 19th in the Q.S World University rankings. The Kingdom's delegation discussed with the Singaporean side the coordination of aspects of joint cooperation presenting investment opportunities in the education sector, and reviewing the experience of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in education.
