The Education Sector Signs Three Memoranda of Understanding with Savvy Games Group.

The Ministry of Education, the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, and Tatweer Educational Services Company signed three Memoranda of Understanding with Savvy Games Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund. The signing ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Vice Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors; His Excellency the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan; the Director General of the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, Abdullah Al-Audah; the CEO of Tatweer Educational Services Company, Mohammed Al-Muhaimid; and several leaders and officials from the education sector. The signing took place today at the Ministry of Education headquarters in Riyadh.

The signing of the memoranda of understanding aligns with the goal of integrating the esports industry and development into the general, university, and technical and vocational education systems; developing curricula, programs, and training initiatives; creating innovative career tracks that enhance the quality of education and support future skills; and launching educational initiatives and competitions. Additionally, it focuses on developing students' and teachers' skills, strengthening national capabilities, and enabling them to benefit from modern technical solutions, artificial intelligence, and educational simulations.

The areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the Savvy Games Group concentrate on several key initiatives. These initiatives include integrating electronic games into the curricula in partnership with the National Center for Curricula, designing and implementing a national competition for the creation and development of electronic games, and training qualified national professionals in this field through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program and the “Wa'ed" track. Furthermore, there is a focus on the professional development of teachers in this specialization, coordinated with the National Institute for Educational Professional Development. The Savvy Academy is anticipated to receive accreditation as part of the strategic partnership institutes linked to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation. Additional initiatives consist of developing educational games on the “Madrasati" platform and establishing the Savvy Games and Innovation Lab.
The areas of collaboration between the National Institute for Educational Professional Development and the Savvy Group encompass several key initiatives. These include enhancing teachers' capabilities to adopt innovative teaching methods, developing accredited training courses focused on esports while assessing their impact, and launching initiatives aimed at improving teachers' skills in artificial intelligence. Furthermore, they will organize workshops, forums, and events dedicated to game-based education.
The memorandum of understanding between Tatweer Educational Services Company and Savvy Group outlines cooperation in developing interactive educational content using game elements, delivering digital solutions based on gaming and simulation technologies, building digital laboratories, creating electronic sports programs and activities for schools, and producing specialized educational games.
