
His Excellency Dr. Saad bin Awwadh Al-Harbi, the Vice Minister of Education for General Education, along with Mr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kraidis, the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba," and several educational leaders from the Ministry and “Mawhiba," received the Saudi science and engineering team at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh upon their return to Saudi Arabia. The reception celebrated their outstanding achievements at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, “ISEF 2026," held in the United States of America.
Dr. Al-Harbi emphasized that their achievement reflects the unwavering support from the wise leadership for the sectors of education, talent, and innovation. He highlighted the leadership's continuous commitment to empowering students, harnessing their skills, and fostering a stimulating environment that aids in developing their capabilities. This initiative enhances the Kingdom's presence and leadership in international scientific forums and aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

His Excellency congratulated the winning students, their families, and teachers for their remarkable scientific projects and their competition with global innovators. He emphasized that these achievements reflect the capabilities and talents of the nation's youth, contributing to building of a prosperous future based on science, technology, and innovation.
The team's champions, consisting of 40 male and female students, received a warm welcome after being crowned first in the world in the field of computational biology and informatics. They achieved a remarkable total of 24 international awards, which included 12 major awards and 12 special awards. This new national achievement reflects the excellence of the nation's youth in international scientific forums and enhances the Kingdom's presence in the largest global forum for research and innovation projects for general education students.
