The Kingdom Receives Three International Prizes At the Microsoft Global Experience Exchange Conference 2022 in the USA

Six educators from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won international prizes at the recent Global Experience Exchange Conference 2022 in Seattle, Washington, USA. 
Iman Khairuddin, from the Encyclopedia of Science School, won the grand prize for Microsoft Schools worldwide. Her project focused on the inclusion of students with special needs to learn alongside their peers in regular schools or classrooms. 
In the category of Microsoft Experts for Creative Learning, first place worldwide was awarded to Maimounah Awaji and Jawaher Al-Manea from Riyadh Department of Education and Mohammad Al-Mohammadi and Majid Al-Juhani from Makkah Al-Mukarramah Department of Education. Their project, titled “Towards a Smart and Sustainable Environment,” addresses the UN Sustainable Development Goals 13: Climate Action.  
Saudi Arabia was also the runner-up in the category of Microsoft Experts for Creative Learning. Zaina Saleh Al Kathiri, from the Jeddah Department of Education, won second place worldwide with “Our Present Is Our Future.” Her project addressed how to enhance environmental awareness through local and global social issues.
The Kingdom’s participation in the Global Experience Exchange Conference is part of an agreement between the Ministry of Education and Microsoft Arabia. The goal of the collaboration is to exchange experiences on modern technical solutions and best practices for their applications that improve educational outcomes.
