The Arab Parliament commends the Kingdom for achieving the first Arab place in e-learning and Covid-19 research

The Arab Parliament has highly valued the Kingdom for achieving the first place in the Arab world in published research on Covid-19 and e-learning, praising the achievements of the education sector with the support of the Kingdom’s leadership in achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and building the future human being to compete globally.
 The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) chose the Madrasati  platform among four leading global models in e-learning and distance education, in order to document and share it as one of the best experiences, as the “Madrasati ” platform achieved more than 4 billion visits during the 2020-2021 academic year,  and serving more than five million students in general  education, in addition to implementing 153 million virtual classes with a daily average ranging between 1 and 1.1 million classes during the study period.    
The Saudi model in e-learning and distance education was distinguished by the multiplicity of educational options, the flexibility of the tools used, the various training programs, the empowerment tools for  teachers, as well as the supervision and follow-up processes to provide interactive, synchronous and asynchronous education in smooth ways and various enrichment tools depending on teachers  and all educational cadres from supervisors. School principals, in addition to making standard lessons, assignments, enrichment and tests available for all curricula for students at all educational levels.
On the other hand, the Kingdom has advanced globally in the efforts of universities to publish Covid-19 research, maintaining the first place in the Arab world, advancing to the 14th place globally, while achieving 12th place at the level of the G20 countries, according to the Web of Science database.
The Saudi universities have published 84% of the Kingdom’s production of Covid-19 research, as the number of research published has reached 915 scientific research at the level of the Kingdom during the first year of the pandemic.  The Ministry of Education has intensified its efforts to support scientists and researchers in Saudi universities and research centers,  forming several scientific committees in the health and technical fields to evaluate research efforts, activating  a fast track to support research, organizing specialized forums and workshops, as well as coordinating and integrating with the national efforts in government sectors with the aim of employing scientific research to confront the pandemic and highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts in this context.
