
The Ministry of Education has provided the electronic textbooks for the new curricula approved by the Ministry during the new academic year 2021-2022 through the “Madrasati ” platform for male and female students of the general education according to the e-learning standards issued by the National Center for E-Learning in terms of design, interaction, equity, accessibility, measurement, and evaluation.
The electronic textbooks have included the new study materials that have been added for the first time this year. They are life and family skills, critical thinking, English in its developed curriculum, physical education and self-defense, and digital skills and technologies.
The electronic textbooks aim to support and control the quality of e-learning, improve learning outcomes, enable benchmarking, and enhance learning motivation through the provision of multiple media, in addition to providing a standard and flexible educational experience that achieves equal access to education, enabling different operational models that support the school and the teacher in applying E-learning and supporting the continuity of education in accordance with the best international practices.
The electronic textbooks contain many interactive educational elements such as short and interesting educational videos, interactive activities, infographics, and motion graphics, discussions, assignments, and summaries of lessons that are interestingly presented to the students and are linked to the learning objectives of the textbook and the measurement of the learning outcomes with various assessment tools.
The electronic textbooks can be used to support the educational process of the teacher and the student, and can also be used in the operational model of the blended education or the operational model of the standard textbook under the supervision of a facilitator.
