The Minister of Education honors students who won international prizes for the year 2022 and their teachers and supervisors

His Excellency The Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, honored today at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh the students who won international awards for the year 2022 and their teachers and supervisors who had an impact on their excellence from various educational departments. His Excellency the Minister highlighted their achievements, praising their efforts to represent the nation in international forums and competitions in a way that encourages them to further their achievements, increase their giving, advance, and succeed in their academic endeavors. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Sports Federation, and a number of ministry leaders attended the ceremony.
The ceremony honored 45 male and female teachers from Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, the Eastern Region, Asir, Al-Qassim, and the governorates of Jeddah, Yanbu, Al-Ahsa, and Sabya.  The honoring included 73 male and female students who won prizes in international forums and competitions, such as the World Robot Olympiad WRO, the ISEF International Science Fair, the International Physics Olympiad IPhO, the International Mathematics Olympiad IMO, the International Chemistry Olympiad IChO, the International Olympiad in Informatics IOI, and the Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad IMCHO. Furthermore, the competitions in which students excelled included the Science Olympiad, the International Exhibition of Inventions, Innovations, and Technology (ITEX), the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO), the Balkan Junior Mathematics Olympiad (JBMO), the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI), the Mathematical Olympiad (APMO), and the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (IPMO). 
Furthermore, the list of competitions in which the Saudi students won awards included the Gulf Olympiad for Mathematics GMO, the Gulf Olympiad for Physics GPhO, and the Gulf Hackathon to employ artificial intelligence in general education. On the list were the Arab Reading Challenge Competition, the Arabic Speaking, Diction, Public Speaking Competition, and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Award for Distinguished Academic Performance.
The ceremony witnessed an accompanying exhibition of the most prominent achievements of the students with which they competed in international competitions and a visual presentation showing the achievements of the winning students. A speech on behalf of the students was delivered during the ceremony in which they expressed their gratitude to the wise leadership for the care and support that the students receive, to the Ministry of Education as the first incubator for outstanding and distinguished students, and to parents and partners from universities and national 
institutions.
