His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, met today, Wednesday, with the Pakistani Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training, Mr. Shafqat Mahmood, during his participation in the Global Education Summit: Financing the Global Partnership for Education 2021-2025 in London, United Kingdom.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan in the educational aspects, and scientific and research partnerships between universities in the two friendly countries, as well as supporting the exchange of experiences in the educational sector.
They discussed the themes of the Global Education Summit: Financing Partnership for Education, and ways to support and finance the two countries to provide education services in line with the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
The Pakistani Federal Minister of Education and Professional Training praised the Kingdom’s prominent role in supporting and financing many initiatives in various vital fields, foremost of which is education in many countries of the world, and the great and distinguished efforts it made during its presidency of the G20 Summit 2020, and the special interest in the education file and returning it to the Summit agenda
The meeting was attended by the Deputy of the Ministry of Education for International Cooperation, Dr. Saleh Al-Qassumi, and the Cultural Attaché in Britain, Dr. Amal Fatani.
