His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, received today, Wednesday, Her Excellency Ms. Julia Gillard - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Global Partnership for Education, during his participation in the Global Education Summit: Financing the Partnership for Education 2021-2025 ,hosted by the British capital "London".
During the meeting, they discussed areas of joint cooperation, the intensive efforts to contribute to the development of education at the international level, the topics of the summit's work, and the praise of the Saudi role in supporting education programs.
The two sides also dealt with strengthening the relationship of the Global Partnership for Education “GPE” organization with the Saudi Fund for Development, due to the projects carried out by the Saudi Fund in the education sector in various countries of the world, in addition to the cooperation between the “GPE” organization and the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre in the education sector, as well as highlighting the Kingdom’s role in Supporting international organizations in the fields of education, culture and science, such as UNESCO, ISESCO and ALECSO
The meeting was attended by the Deputy of the Ministry of Education for International Cooperation, Dr. Saleh Al-Qassumi, and the Cultural Attaché in Britain, Dr. Amal Fatani.
