The Ministry of Education Honors Winners of the National Finals of the World Robot Olympiad

The Deputy Minister of Education for Student Capability Development, Dr. Saad Al-Harbi, honored the winners of the National Finals of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO). This two-day event was organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Saudi Federation for Robotics and RC Sports, as well as Tatweer Education Technologies Company (TETCO). The event was held at the ministry's headquarters and centered around the theme "The Future of Robots and Space."

A total of 83 teams from various educational levels took part in the championship, showcasing over 170 talented male and female students from different regions of the Kingdom, all guided by 80 male and female trainers. The winners who secured top positions in the competitions were recognized across five main categories: Future Innovators, Future Engineers, RoboMissions, Robot-Sumo, and RoboSports.

The Void Dynamics team from the Makkah Education Department secured first place in the adult robotics category, with the Tech 404 team from the Eastern Province Education Department coming in second. At the university level, Al Majmaah University achieved first place with the MU TECH 2030 team and second place with the MU FALCONS TEAMS 2 team.

In the Robot Missions category for the elementary stage, the Al-Tarbia Al-Ahlia School team from Riyadh Education secured first place, followed closely by the Astrobot team. In the intermediate stage, the Ibn Roshd Falcons team achieved first place, with the Falcon Robotics team from Riyadh Education following in second. In the secondary stage, the Ajial Alhadara School team from Riyadh Education took first place, while the RoboRushd Jazan team from Jazan Education came in second.

The Rowad Heroes team from the Riyadh Education Department took first place in the elementary Future Innovators category, followed by the Al-Arqam Robot 2 team. At the intermediate level, the SSQ team from the Riyadh Education Department came in first, followed by the Next Makers team from the Medina Education Department. At the secondary level, the YAMAMAH team placed first, followed by the Naseej team from the Eastern Province Education Department.     

In the Future Engineers category, the RoboMisk team from the Riyadh Education Department secured first place, followed closely by the TRX team from Eastern Education.

In the robot-sumo category, the Robotics Club 2 team from the Madinah Education Department secured first place in the junior category, followed by the Robo Al-Amjad team from the Riyadh Education Department. In the adult category, the Qunfudhah Sumo team from the Makkah Education Department claimed the top spot, with the SDS team from the Eastern Province Education Department finishing in second place. At the university level, Majmaah University achieved both first and second places with its teams, the MU 2030 TEAM and the MU TECH TEAM, respectively.

The National Finals of the Robot Olympiad took place as part of the Ministry of Education's initiative to enhance students' skills in robotics and artificial intelligence. This effort will enable them to represent the Kingdom in the global finals of the World Robot Olympiad.
