The Pakistani Minister of Education praises the Kingdom's success in distance education and the global model of "Madrasati”

His Excellency the Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training of Pakistan, Shafqat Mahmood, noted the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its objectives for the development of education, and its reflection on the Kingdom’s success globally in e-learning and distance education to ensure that the educational process continues without interruption during the pandemic.
The Pakistani minister, who was accompanied by an official delegation, visited the headquarter of the Satellite Broadcasting School (SBS), where he was received by His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sheikh. The Pakistani Minister praised what the SBS has achieved in the service of distance education in a distinguished manner.  He appreciated highly what education has achieved in the Kingdom during the pandemic and the activation of electronic platforms such as “Madrasati” and the educational satellite channels, which indicates the readiness of Saudi education for the continuation and sustainability of the educational process despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
His Excellency stressed the depth of the strong historical relationship between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing his aspiration to consolidate cooperation between the two friendly countries in the education file, as well as the possibility of benefiting from the Kingdom's experience in distance education and e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The visit included a brief explanation of the satellite broadcasting school that was presented by the Ministry’s Deputy for General Education, Dr. Mohammed Al-Meqbil. The school and broadcast studios were introduced, the mechanism of filming and recording lessons, as well as the educational supervision of its content.  The General Supervisor of the E-learning and Distance Education, Dr. Ohoud Al-Fares gave a visual presentation about "Madrasati ", and the global numbers that have been recorded since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic until today.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Acting Vice Minister of Education, Dr. Saad Al Fehaid, and a number of officials in the ministry.
