The text of the speech of His Excellency the Minister of Education is as follows:
My sons and daughters, male and female students, my colleagues male and female teachers, faculty members, technical training staff, and administrators. Happy New Year.
With Allah’s blessing, we begin an exceptional academic year in which we continue our achievements and successes with the support of a rational, supportive, and empowering leadership, and with an ambitious vision that puts people first to compete globally, and sincere and continuous efforts from the educational cadres to make the nation ready for its first attendance date. With the beginning of the new academic year, the Ministry of Education has made great efforts in developing curricula, study plans, secondary tracks, digital platforms, and applying the three-semester system to keep pace and compete with the best international practices, and to create a better future for the sons and daughters of the country who deserve an educational system that achieves their dreams and ambitions, and contribute through it to the development of their country.
In this exceptional year, the students and the educational staff return to in-person learning to their schools, institutes, and universities for those who have completed two doses of the Covide-19 vaccine. The Ministry of Education continues its efforts to create a safe and healthy educational environment, provide all requirements to achieve this, coordinate and integrate with the Ministry of Health in providing vaccines and with the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) in adopting precautionary protocols and measures while continuing the community partnership that we cherish and count on with families and parents to prepare the students psychologically for the study seats.
We affirm that the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic still exist in every classroom, school, and university. But hope, optimism, and readiness are important elements in facing these challenges. The most important thing is the continuity of the education journey; Everyone is eager for a safe return to in-person learning and is more eager to return to the normal life of society and education is one of its most important indicators.
In conclusion, I call upon my sons and daughters, male and female students, and my colleagues from the education staff, for the importance of completing the obtaining of two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and adhering to apply the precautionary measures during their school day. Finally, I hope that our dear homeland, its leadership, and its citizens are fine and enjoy progress and prosperity.
