The Ministry of Education kept celebrating Saudi Flag Day today, Sunday, in all public and private general education schools, education departments, and offices in the regions and governorates. The celebrations, coinciding with the attendance of students at all academic levels, aim to enhance the value of the national flag and the importance of respecting it among the sons and daughters of the kingdom.
The Ministry's events highlight the value of the flag, its symbolism, and its connotations extending throughout the history of the Saudi state, as well as promoting the values of citizenship, belonging, and loyalty among emerging generations.
As part of its celebration of this national occasion, the Ministry has held several events. The buildings and headquarters of the Ministry of Education in all its sectors, education departments and offices, and schools in the regions and governorates are decorated with the Saudi flag.
Over five days, the flag will be raised in the morning assembly on the designated flagpole in every school and educational facility, with the national anthem being chanted by all students and school staff.
Students and teachers have raised the flag in the halls of schools and inside classrooms. Cultural competitions and special exhibitions have been set up to introduce the Saudi flag in education departments. Student scout teams have visited some government bodies and centers and given the national flag to their employees.
This week, general education schools will use the school radio to talk about the flag, its importance, history, and symbolic connotations, with the first ten minutes of the first class from Sunday to Thursday will be dedicated to talking about the flag's history. In addition, art education lessons in schools will be used to spread the culture of the national flag and hold drawing and coloring activities in schools with the participation of primary school students.
General education schools in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Qassim, and a number of other regions in which studies were suspended today due to the rain have launched Flag Day celebrations through the "Madrasati" platform. In addition, interactive student programs have been remotely implemented amid positive teacher-student interaction, with supervision, and follow-up by school principals, educational supervisors, and education offices and departments.
