The Minister of Education Meets with his Australian Counterpart to Enhance Educational Cooperation​

His Excellency, the Minister of Education, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, met with the Australian Minister of Education, Jason Clare, during his official visit to Australia and his accompanying delegation.

The two parties discussed several important topics that highlight the commitment of both countries to strengthen strategic cooperation in response to global changes in education and scientific research.

The meeting discussed avenues to improving collaboration in university education through twinning programs between Saudi and Australian universities. It also addressed the implementation of academic and research exchange initiatives. This initiative aims to enhance opportunities for students and faculty members to learn from distinguished experiences and leverage accumulated expertise.

The two ministers focused on scientific research and innovation, examining opportunities for collaboration in several critical areas, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, renewable energy, and health sciences.

The meeting centered on investment opportunities in the Kingdom's education sector, particularly in light of the significant transformations occurring in the education system as part of the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. It also explored the potential for attracting Australian educational institutions to establish branches and specialized centers within the Kingdom.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted Australia's renowned expertise in technical and vocational education and training, discussing how this knowledge could be leveraged to enhance the Kingdom's initiatives aimed at developing human capital and preparing national talent for the labor market.

The two ministers discussed ways to enhance support for Saudi students studying at Australian universities and institutes. They focused on creating an educational and social environment that fosters excellence and integration, as well as facilitating academic procedures to ensure a successful educational journey.

The meeting emphasized the importance of digital transformation in education, with both sides exchanging experiences and expertise in developing innovative educational platforms and digital resources to enhance the quality of the educational process and support modern learning methods.
